The Native Howl - Thrash Grass?
I thought someone on here would get a kick out of these guys
They have an EP out, and they play bluegrass/country with the mentality of a thrash metal band

Except for the vocal delivery and some of the bass work, this isn't that far off base of just traditional bluegrass. There are some amazing talents who get rather progressive in bluegrass while still maintaining that rootsy sound. Sadly, this isn't a style of music I really get into, but I do recognize the talent and ability of these musicians.
If you listen to some of Ricky Scaggs' albums, you'll hear a lot of progressive bluegrass like this with some amazing chicken pickin' on guitar, banjo, and bass.

Yea, honestly they are a pretty average band, but this song has a great sing a long catchy chorus and are pretty dang entertaining!alldatndensum wrote:Except for the vocal delivery and some of the bass work, this isn't that far off base of just traditional bluegrass. Pretty good stuff, I listened to their EP and I think they need to be much more thrashy in more of their songs, not to mention they should add some distortion because they sound a bit too bluegrass-y right now.
