Re: Four Star Revival - The Underdog EP
Tomorrow is the release date for "The Underdog" EP!
I'm curious.... Of those who plan on purchasing the EP, will you order a CD? Purchase a digital download? Or possibly both?
And if downloading, what is your site of preference? iTunes? Amazon? Something else?
Also, we are the "Album Of The Week" at Dangerdog Music Reviews! Here's the link to the site so you can check out their review of "The Underdog" EP!

Ah thanks, for bumping the thread. I've been out of state/ the country for a month. I vaguely remembered that there was something good musically coming in January, but forgot what it was.Benny4SR wrote:Tomorrow is the release date for "The Underdog" EP!

I tend to like to buy CD's although I always rip them and shelve them. I like to have them as a sort of physical proof of digital rights and also a greater connection to the artist's work. But it also depends on price and convenience. If a CD is substantially too expensive or requires me to open an account with yet another store, I'll settle for digital.
My site of preference is Amazon. I never use itunes despite having an iphone for the last several years.
I see the mp3s for pre-purchase on Amazon, but do you know if the CD will be available there too tomorrow?

Cool brother! Welcome back!
I know the CD will only cost $5 (not too expensive I don't think) and I know it will be available from CD Baby, but I'm not exactly sure about Amazon.
Re: Four Star Revival - The Underdog EP
I prefer downloading as I am too impatient to wait for something to ship. I use mostly Amazon and yes, my pre-order is in.

Awesome! Thanks brother!
Re: Four Star Revival - The Underdog EP
I'll definitely be picking up an CD as well! My favorite is Bandcamp: you can order the CD and then download it digitally immediately. Plus, if you don't have your music player on you, you can just log in and stream it any time online.

Thanks Kerrick! Unfortunately we're not on Bandcamp!
Re: Four Star Revival - The Underdog EP
No worries. Where all will have the CD available to purchase? Can we order directly from the band or is it preferable to buy on CD Baby?

At this point CD Baby will be the "go to" for CD ordering. That may broaden in the near future, but for now that will be it.
Re: Four Star Revival - The Underdog EP
I suspect Roxx Records will pick up some copies.

I'm not sure. He seems to have been relatively uninterested in 4SR in general. I think he may have sold a few copies of "Knights of the Revival" though. So I'm not sure.

Cool brother!
Man, you are guys are going to make me get on Bandcamp, aren't you?
Re: Four Star Revival - The Underdog EP
All the cool kids are doing it, man!
But seriously, Bandcamp is pretty cool... And you build up your "collection" on Bandcamp and can see others' collections which is will only help get the word out about your band.

Re: Four Star Revival - The Underdog EP
I just took another listen to that youtube song you posted. It's really captivating from the beginning, but it keeps repeating the same (tasty, admittedly) guitar melody throughout the song, which makes it a bit too monotonous for my (euro flower metal) taste. Apart from that, I hear a great deal of potential. I hope to see (hear!) that potential fulfilled

That's cool brother! You'll find that we keep our songs fairly simple for the most part. But, we don't like writing the same song over and over again, so there's usually plenty of variety. I'm guessing from your reply that you're probably going to like track #5 "The Garden Of Good And Evil". It probably leans a little more towards Power Metal than most of our other material. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hey everybody, it's Friday the 13th! You know what that means, right?
Yes! It's "The Underdog" EP release day!
It should be at most of the major digital outlets, but here are links to iTunes and Amazon. If you want to order a CD (or purchase the digital download) you can use the link to CD Baby.
I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback once they've had a chance to listen to it! Happy listening!
