Have it in the car and i also have the mobile app (with more stations). The ones i listen to mainly are 80s, Classic Rewind, Classic Vinyl, 1st Wave, Lithium, Octane, Ozzy's Boneyard,Hair Nation, and Faction, but i scan through the other stations just to see if there's anything good on them (liquid metal is disapointing as it plays way too much metalcore and extreme metal, but very little traditional/power metal).

I don't have it, but my mother did in her old car and I'd listen when she came to visit and I drove her car. My favorite stations were Ozzy's Boneyard and Willie's Roadhouse.

We have a free trial with the new Kia we bought. I doubt we'll subscribe as the service here is kinda sketchy. Standard FM picks up better.

I once looked into what it would take to start an XM radio station and the requirements are ridiculous for the benefits (or lack thereof). When I looked into it these are the steps to qualify for XM:
1. Start an internet radio station, gain a large following/fanbase
2. Start a terrestrial radio station (FM), gain a large following (Startup can cost 100s of thousands)
3. Abandon your internet radio station and FM station
4. Welcome to XM, where your audience is limited to paid customers only
Your required to make a massive investment, then throw it all away in order to qualify. I will stick to a larger, free audience.

We've talked about whether to continue our subscription after the three month trial. We aren't using it, so I see no point in paying $20 a month for something we rarely use. We can do the same thing by plugging in our phone and streaming a station off of Pandora, IHeartRadio, or Samsung Milk Music for free.

Only $20 a month? I think they told me $30+ to continue mine, it made it super easy to tell them "goodbye". I was thinking that I might be willing to shell out up to $15 a month for it, but no way was I going to pay double that for a service I would use less than 2 hours a week.

That $20 price could just be to get us on board. Right now, they really want people to subscribe and prepay the whole year. $240 a year for something we don't use is silly to me.
