Re: ROCK RADIO
We have one prominent classic rock/metal radio station here in Spokane
(Thats the only one I have ever payed attention to)
They play the big name stuff such as Metallica, Maiden, Queen, etc.
We could have others but I dont really listen to radio, why should I, when I have my own DJ sized library, 2 and a half feet from where Im sitting right now

Re: ROCK RADIO
I don't listen to music radio. I listen to talk radio. I don't think there are many rock stations in my area now days, but I could be wrong. I judge by the lack of rock radio bumper stickers. Years ago there were 3 or 4 station's stickers you'd see on cars and street signs. Now I see none.Savage Amusement wrote:so..no one here listens to local radio?

Re: ROCK RADIO
We only have two rock stations in town. One plays classic rock from 1970-1995 mostly, the other is an active rock station.

Re: ROCK RADIO
The combination of Bluetooth and mp3 shuffle has made music radio obsolete in my car. My library is much better.
I think there are still a few stations playing rock in my market. I just don't use them very often.

Re: ROCK RADIO
Nashville has a couple of classic rock stations and one that plays more modern stuff. That's about it. We have WAY too many CCM and country stations for my tastes.
Re: ROCK RADIO
I have the same stations as you SA since we live close and no I don't listen to local radio because they all play a small handful of pre-determined songs...over and over again. I've never understood listening to radio so you can hear all the songs you and the rest of the world already have heard many times over.
I think radio is better suited to help people discover music by playing things the listener may not have heard. Also just a reminder, but you can listen to Reanimated Radio anywhere in he world

Re: ROCK RADIO
I miss the days of Internet Radio, true, it's far from dead, but the main portal to internet radio, live 365 is no more, there were tons of great stations on there playing all kinds of different music and genres.
