Post by Guest Tue Jan 26, 2016 8:07 pm

Any Southern Rock fans here..I love it...My favorites are Blackfoot, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws and of course Lynyrd Skynyrd...I have a Hank Jr. and Skynyrd confederate flag and several southern rock tattoos...I kinda grew up on those records and bands...

Count me in. Listened to a lot of Skynyrd a few weeks back.

My "southern" bands are way heavier than these classic bands

I dont own any of these

I do own some Southern style metal though

Best southern rock band hasn't even been mentioned yet...THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND!
Best southern rock song ever right here. People were screaming this in concerts before Free Bird was around.

I love southern rock/metal, and listen to all the bands already posted here pretty frequently.

Another one I dig is the obscure 90s band Copperhead who only released one album and a B-sides/live collection.

Third Day has also been capable of some excellent southern rock tracks over the years, which just makes it that much more frustrating to me that they've gone more and more towards standard CCM the longer they go.

Love this song!!! Saw these guys on this tour and it was awesome. Also went backstage and it was quite an experience. Thought i stepped back into 1975.

The Copperhead cd came in the mail today.  Man is that awesome, I can't believe I missed them when they came out. Thanks for the suggestion.

Here is a somewhat new band. However, people call them Country. Maybe they are but the SOUND and LOOK to me is 70's Skynyrd. Fantastic song, check it out:
