I chose "sounds pretty geeky" because I know what a Whovian is but I am not one. My co-worker is, though.

Re: Any Whovians?
I am definitely a whovian. My favorite doctor is David Tennant, although Tom Baker is a close 2nd (the 4th doctor). Capaldi is growing on me so far though
Re: Any Whovians?
I'm a huge fan of Roger, Pete, Keith & John with "Who's Next" probably being my favorite.

Bowties are cool
Wife is a big time whovian, Me I am getting to whovian status I am a big fan of Capaldi as the Doctor I wasnt at first but hes awesome. I love the Sonic Sunglasses, I remember reading something where was quoted as bringing a David Bowie element to the character of the Doctor, so now with these shades and his guitar I tell my wife hes channeling his inner david bowie hehe

I myself have only recently got into the show, because of my sister watching it.
I like Baker, Smith, and Capaldi.
I have not watched enough Tennant yet
Honestly I cant wait to watch more of the old show.

My dad would watch it when I was a kid I have vague memories of him watching it on pbs. I like Tennant and Smith as the Doctor, but the first full season I saw was last season. I find I am loving the show.

Re: Any Whovians?
I have been known to binge watch entire seasons.....but I would not call myself a Whovian. My oldest daughter definitely is, though.....

I know what it is and have watched a couple of shows but just didn't seem to get into it. I am much more the Trekkie.

Re: Any Whovians?
I can understand. I was into ST long before I found DW. I remember how I got into it. I went over to a friends house one afternoon and he was watching it on TV and I was appalled. It seemed like the lamest thing. The characters were crazy; there was this guy with a ridiculously long scarf and a gal in leather, looking like sheena of the jungle. The set didn't look like 'real' sci-fi, the special effects were terrible, the background music was bad. Yet, for some reason, some morbid curiosity, the next day I tuned into it at home and was hooked. It's a super campy show. Even more so than ST.alldatndensum wrote:I know what it is and have watched a couple of shows but just didn't seem to get into it. I am much more the Trekkie.

I even went to conventions and met the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th doctor actors.

Going to a RI comic con next month where the actress who played Amy Pond will be there as well as the actress who played Riversong and the actor who played Rori *think his name is*

Re: Any Whovians?
Anybody here notice the difference of the character of the doctor between the old series and the new? It seems to me that in the new he is much more loving and nurturing of his companions. In the old he was cranky and always berating his companions.

That is also really cool, if you could get a photo and have them all sign it for me that would be awesome!Aaron C wrote:Going to a RI comic con next month where the actress who played Amy Pond will be there as well as the actress who played Riversong and the actor who played Rori *think his name is*
That is true but most of the new Doctor's are younger with the exception of Capaldid@v!d wrote:Anybody here notice the difference of the character of the doctor between the old series and the new? So I can see where they try and put in the love interest for the younger "fans"
