Modular/Granular Synth Shock Trauma

Hello. I’m new on this forum, but have been on The Blackest Light forum in the 1800s . Another new user here (M. Mosher) can try to vouch for me (NOT a BOT).

I have no physical instruments, although I’m working on a “noise box” project. All the work I’ve posted on my Steve Schaut youtube channel were done primarily on GarageBand/Alchemy synth, and a little bit trying out AudioKit SynthOne; my previous project when living in New Mexico was under the Creosote name. But since moving (back) to Wisconsin, I’ve changed the name to Chequamegon Experimental Music Project. I try to employ dark ambient and complex noise in my projects.

About a year ago, I felt like I needed to explore new frontiers in Eurorack modular and granular synthesis. With no hope of being able to afford physical units, I’ve had to be content with apps such as miRack, Tardigrain, FRMS, SynthScaper, and some free pedalboard app (if you wanna see some really crazy pedalboard action, check out this duet called Pedestrian Deposit on youtube!). But lemme tell you that I’ve bitten off way more than I can chew! Though I haven’t posted any new music in…about a year now, I HAVE been busy trying to find my head in the modular and granular realms! ‍‍🤪

On a final note, regarding PHYSICAL instruments, has any reader here ever used an Elta Music Big Ambient Machine Solar 50 synth? Looks pretty sweet, those 50 sawtooth oscillators arranged in 10 voice blocks. Yeah, here’s another unit I can’t afford (a good $2 grand each)! ‍� I’d sure like to hear some work if anyone’s got any using this instrument!
