Rock and roll album picks

Simple question, but one that I have a hard time answering.

What Christian albums do you turn to when you are in the mood to hear plain ol' rock and roll, and not metal?

DC Talk's last two studio albums were good rock albums. Michael Tait's solo albums were good, too. His first album,  "Empty", was excellent.

Petra with John Schlitt. And Nouveaux perhaps.

LOL, I forgot that I had changed my avatar recently and I reopened this thread and started reading the post right above Livna's. As I got started I was like "Whoa, this dude likes some good stuff!!! That's amazing!"

No joke, it really happened, and now I am dumb.

Yeah, but I would say both bands (77's and Daniel Band) while having blues rock songs do qualify as straight ahead rock and roll bands.

For what it's worth, my intro to Daniel Band (on the Heaven's Metal Collection) and what got me hooked on the band was this song.



I love the Rush like style.

I must say the question for me is just the other way around. What metal do you play when you're not listening to Rock....

Anyway to answer the question I would say bands like. 
Allies, John Elefante, WhiteHeart, Sweet Comfort Band, 77s, The Choir, Larry Norman, Darrell Mansfield, Larry Howard, Charlie Peacock, Steve Taylor, Ashley Cleveland and tons of other...

Anything by Degarmo and Key Band.

For something more up to date, but with an Old-School feel, Thieves and Liars second LP, American Rock N Roll.

Excellent choice on the Thieves and Liars, I love this cd.
