CD exchange program

Would anyone be interested in an exchange program?

Let's face it - we all have cd's we don't want that we think won't sell so we don't even try. What if we listed them and if you see something you want, you offer a trade with that person? I have over a dozen that I'd gladly trade.

Sort of... I was thinking more about Cd's I've posted that no one has offered to buy... just if someone wants them...

I think it's a great idea. We should figure out an easy way to make it happen.

We need some way to bring traders or buyer and sellers together. I have CDs I want to get and I have some I want to get rid of. Some of us may have duplicates of CDs/albums as well. I have 2 copies of Driver Sons of Thunder and Holy Soldier debut. I have 15 or so I want to trade or sell. I don't think the peddlers corner gets much of a response. I have posted my trade list there and didn't get much of a response.

We need an active spreadsheet or a query data base here that combines members want list with the ones they want to trade/sell. For example, I am looking for the first 3 Idle Cure CDs.

This is kinda what I'm talking about. Post a list of what you want to get rid of, if someone wants something, they make an offer and you trade. I'm sure there's someone who wants my (almost) complete discography of Jars of Clay out there...

Maybe folks can post a "For Trade" list of the things they have for trade...
And a "Looking For" list of the things they are looking for.

I don't really know right now if I want to part with any of my stuff, but if I see something cool, it might inspire me to go through my cassettes and CDs and look for stuff to trade.

How about we create a google spreadsheet where each tab is another user's list. You can set those to be publicly viewable, probably editable too

I went ahead and made a tab called Adam and posted some CDs in there

I'm a collector, so the only CD's I'd want to get rid of are ones that I have duplicates of, and even then not necessarily. Still, I think it's a good idea and I'd keep an eye on it.

Is this only for Christian material or can we post secular stuff?

I would be interested in seeing various categories. 

Christian Metal...Metal/Rock...Bluegrass...Reggae...Comedy...

I'd even be interested in seeing VHS movies and DVDs.

There's gotta be a way to make everything neat and easy to search for stuff, though.

As long as everything is labeled and in it's proper category, I'd be interested in seeing anything one may want to trade.

Your welcome to add more columns/rows to note genre and if anyone is good with excel formula feel free to create a search function. I can do autosum but thats about it. Not sure how robust Google's formulas are but for the most part its similar to excel

And, just a suggestion here, each member can configure his/her own spreadsheet tab how they want.

I will upload some cds I want to get rid of, I need the money
