Hardcore Christian will be so proud: I just ordered my first metalcore album! I bought Mortal Treason's two albums (their second I'd consider death metal). I'm not a metalcore fan by any means, but these guys I really dig! Also gotta love their honest, no-frills, Christ-centered lyrics too. I also got CMR's own Derek Corzine's single Into Eternity by Whisper From Heaven.

I just got Seventh Avenue's Terium yesterday; I'm loving it as much as Eternals. It really is too bad these guys parted ways right after they started sounding so great! The older stuff is good, but Eternals and Terium really kick butt!
Now I just need Rainbowland and Goodbye to have their entire discography. Anybody want to part with their copies?

I know, what a sellout. I should turn my mod-card in probably...

Re: Recent Purchases
^That's a pretty rad cover!
Ikarian - A Shrine Of Fire arrived today in the mail. I just listened to it through and it is spectacular! I really dig it. I definitely recommend y'all pick it up! It continues right where Phantom Minds leaves off, though is more varied, textured, and vast. There are more post-rock undertones IMO too which fit really well. And it's all brought to you by CMR's own Viskarian (aka James)! Great stuff.

Re: Recent Purchases
Let's see...
I used an Amazon gift card someone gave me to buy:
Boston - self titled
Boston - Walk On
I also bought from a friend here:
Boston - Don't Look Back
Boston - Third Stage (can you tell who one of my favorite secular bands is?)
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Greatest Hits
I haven't gotten any of the above yet. But...
With a different Amazon card I recently bought:
Five Iron Frenzy - 2 Electric Boogaloo
Five Iron Frenzy - The End is Here
Brave Saint Saturn - The Light of Things Hoped For
Johnny Cash - The Essential
Johnny Cash - At Folsom Prison
And I had some friends send me some stuff:
Sacred Warrior - Rebellion/MAster's Command 2 on 1
Bloodgood - RIAHP/OOTD 2 on 1
X-Sinner - Loud and Proud Reissue
Taker - Complete Anthology
Value Pac - self titled
Guardian - First Watch
john Elefante/Mastedon - Revolution of Mind
Grimmarck - Grimmarck
Believe - Seven Miles Deep
Intensity Shift - s/t
Rage of Angels - s/t (mp3)
First Strike - Rock of Offense
Plus several more I haven't even uploaded onto my iPod.
I'm a little overloaded!

Re: Recent Purchases
Is it just me or are others a bit overwhelmed with the amount of new music being released? Seems all these old and new favorite bands of mine are putting out new tunes - which is AWESOME though it's hard to keep up - with my ears AND wallet! Recently bought:
Musk Ox - Woodfall
My Silent Wake - Eye Of The Needle
And I'm eagerly awaiting the release of Blood Thirsty's debut album too! Got mine preordered; just gotta wait a few more weeks...
