There just HAS to be a glam band that has a song called "Smoke My Love". 

You know, one of those major label bands that debuted right at the tail end of the glam era. 88-90 or so. 

It gets a little airplay on MTV and then promptly disappears from the earth. 

Then around 93-94 or so the band comes back and gets "edgier" and heavier on a small label.

They complete half of the scheduled tour and then break up again.

The singer goes solo in 1996 and changes to an AOR/bluesy style and eventually records a different version of "Smoke My Love" around 2000-2001 or so.
