Apoplexy (Slovak Death Metal)

I stumbled upon this band yesterday on the webshop I ordered Dusk's newest album from.  I don't know much about them, but they sound pretty cool and their debut album seems quite opposed to abortion which is cool!  As far as I know, they're a secular band, though they do have some Christian imagery in some of their song titles which makes me curious ("Kiss Of Death / Gospel Of Judas" for example).



According to the Metal Archives, they've been around since 1993 but they just released their third full-length in November:

I like that 1st album...it's technical, proggy death metal, very reminiscent of some obscure 90's bands.   
I could listen to that, it's more my speed than the continual screaming / yelling / 200-mph drumming of most modern DM.
I do wish it had more bass though....needs a proper remaster

2nd album is more of a death / black / doom hybrid, more melodic and atmospheric, more reminiscent of Old Man's Child or Dimmu Borgir.   It's also good but a different direction for them.

I give props to any band that publicly condemns abortion though.

Right on.  Oh oops, that's the video I meant to post.  I read a [translated] interview by them and I think their latest album is about Elizabeth Bathory, which gives a little context to that video.
