Christian Metal Album & EP of the Year 2023 - Voting

Hello, I haven't seen this posted yet here or any other forum/group that had an actual voting process. I remember doing this years' back but got busy with life and hadn't posted this in awhile.

At any rate, I figure why not? I've seen two or three lists of Christian Metal album lists compiled, and I went through all of them as best I could, sorting them into albums and LPs. The list is by no means exhaustive, but at 78 full-length albums and 18 EPs, I figure that may be pretty extensive!

I had a lot of fun compiling the list and found a few great artists I hadn't heard of that I am listening to from this, so I hope it maybe lets you find something new, encouraging and enjoyable in the new year. 

I'll post the results from this in a weeks' time, on December 26th. If I missed any albums, I have a short form at the end to add them, and I'll try to vet/add them as fast as possible. As a note, also, I didn't post any re-releases. I wish I could of compiled a list of "Best re-releases/covers/ect" but didn't quite have time.

I tried to vote but am not familiar with any of the EP's except C.M.

I'll spot check those first and then cast the vote....

Thats my EP of the year as well. I never thought I'd hear a folk-black-gaze Christian metal album. Just superb. And I had no idea it was a thing til working on this list.

I have 1 2023 release Narnia's new one and getting a few for Christmas and a couple next year so that's 7 or 8 right now. I can't rank them until I have them all and listened to them.

Bumping the post up. Nearly 300 votes have been cast. There's one clear album for #1, but everything else is in play. EP of the year is in a brutal 3-way tie that is being determined by all of 1 vote between ALL 3 EPs!

I think we all know which album will win #1

300 people?  Barely a fraction of that number participate on the forum.  I find that number hard to believe....

We did forget Kerrick’s rap covers of Stryper tunes he recorded under the name Kanwe Yest. It wasn’t half bad.

^It'd totally dominate the contest so it's best that it got left off; I wouldn't want to make the guys from Theocracy feel bad.  I even got my boys from Slayer to lay down some sick thrash riffs and beats that really slap.

Am I the only one who didn't put Theocracy first?
