Rob Halford Christmas Albums
Rob Halford of Judas Priest has at least two Christmas albums (Celestial and Halford III: Winter Songs). Some of the songs are of the explicitly religious sort ("God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "O Holy Night," "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing," etc.). Halford has claimed to be a born-again Christian (or at least Wikipedia used to say he did). But he's also unapologetically gay.
I know this stops some Christian metal fans from listening to him and Judas Priest altogether. But for those of us who don't shy away from Judas Priest, would you still avoid his Christmas offerings? If so, why?

Re: Rob Halford Christmas Albums
I own Winter Songs, but I hardly listen to it—not because Rob is gay, but because I don’t typically like metal Christmas albums, other than TSO.

I have both albums and loved them, yesterday I was playing the first one.
Re: Rob Halford Christmas Albums
I've heard from my friends that these albums are very good.
However I'm picky with my Christmas music. I tend to prefer the more traditional renditions, certain gospel or acapella versions, or the classic hymns. I have little interest in heavy metal or hard rock version of Christmas songs.
Maybe once in awhile, like TSO, but they are instrumental so it's a bit different than listening to some metal singer wailing away in some overblown, over-dramatic style. Some of the gospel versions are like that too, it turns me off.

I think his Christmas albums are fun in a novelty way… because that’s exactly what they are.
Everyone knows that Christmas music sells. TSO made a career from it!
