Bandcamp's ridiculous anti-Christian, front page article
I rarely pay any attention to the front page, but when I saw a Bible verse mentioned, I knew I had to take a look.
The article equates evangelism with colonialism, among many other completely ridiculous statements.
We should all only buy from this site on Bandcamp Fridays, where all money goes to the artist and none to the people who run this site and their woke, anti-God agenda.

Not all evangelism is colonialism (obviously), but much of colonialism did use Christianity to help subjugate and destroy indigenous culture. Look at the schools for native Americans in the U.S. and Canada. Wasn't it just a few years ago that they found a large unmarked mass grave for native children?CrimsonWarrior wrote:https://daily.bandcamp.com/resonance/the-mountain-goats-romans-10-9-essay

Unfortunately that's true, there are way too many Woke companies.Pethead wrote:If I only bought items from Christian-friendly companies, I’d sadly buy very few products.
But many Christians don't even try. They still support Disney, the NBA and NFL, a certain political party that shall remain nameless, etc. without making any kind of connection between what they are supporting and the exponential proliferation of ungodly values and a fascistic government and cancel culture that is gunning for them.
The recent Bud Light controversy was at least a start in showing us that boycotts from the non-Woke can be effective. That ought to at least give us courage to make more of an effort going forward.
Maybe we can't give up Amazon or PayPal or LinkedIn or AT&T or other companies that we rely on for services at this time.
But we sure can make more of an effort with companies that simply provide entertainment. Like the aforementioned Disney, Woke sports, Netflix, etc. Or provide products we can get elsewhere like Starbucks, Rei, Nike, Ben & Jerry's, H&M, Banana Republic, etc.

As usual, I find John Frame to have some wisdom here:
“Scripture does not require believers to support only industries and institutions that are morally and religiously pure. Jesus taught his disciples to pay taxes to Caesar, taxes which supported the emperor cult, among other things. Paul taught the Corinthians to buy food in the market place without asking whether or not it had been offered to idols. Scripture is realistic enough to know that if we had to inquire about the religion or morals of every merchant before doing business with him, we could not buy at all.
I do not think it is wrong for Christians to boycott industries which they believe are doing social and/or religious harm in the world. They are certainly free to withhold their economic support from those industries. On the other hand, I do not believe that Scripture @UN(requires) us to boycott such organizations. We really could not do that in every case without completely isolating ourselves from the world.”

All these corporations with a "commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)" are getting kickbacks from Blackrock and the like for pushing "woke" agendas. They all want that ESG investment money.

With all the wokeness lately when Miller Lite did their ad, it dawned on me (duh!) that even when big companies are espousing things we like (I thought of "Baseball, Hotdogs, Apple Pie & Chevrolet"), they are still only putting into their ads what they think will sell.

Then where did all this false-reality nonsense come from? Did every company decide to embrace woke ideology at the same time? Or have they been given "incentives"?
If these companies' woke advertising campaigns aren't being decided of their own volition (suicidal pandering), who is telling them to market to a tiny minority of people in their ads? Since when is that a good marketing strategy?
No this is all intentional.
Our society is in the process of being subverted by cultural saboteurs and hijackers who ultimately want a one-world government.

I agree with all of this, especially the last line. This stuff is no accident.
I was just pointing out my own "no duh!" epiphany that companies, especially the bigger they are, don't give a rip what you like or don't like. They just say what they think you want to hear to get you buy their stuff...
