Happy May 4th! Let us especially celebrate that they never made sequels to the original trilogy. Would’ve been awful.

I like the prequels overall, partly for nostalgia, partly for world building.

I dont know what you're all talking about, there was a sequel trilogy, it came out in 1991 and was known as The Thrawn Trilogy.

I feel the same about SO MANY things these days. Especially anything comics-related. Grew up reading Marvel and DC. Political activists disguised as writers and artists began to really ruin both companies starting around 2011-2012 or so. Good stories and art were replaced with leftist ideology courtesy of the latest indoctrination victims coming off the assembly lines of "education". This has been happening across many different mediums and poisoning many different franchises along the way. It's all just a part of breaking down our culture. "Owning nothing and being happy".
I will not allow them to ruin my childhood or memories though. Those are MY memories. They can't have them.
All of these things can always be "rebooted". Until that happens, we still have decades of entertainment going back through the years to consume if we so choose.

On a related note, I'm surprised that none of the other Star Wars media has ever revisited the Ewoks (save for the two tv movies and the animated series). No sign of them in the prequels, or the sequel trilogy, or the tv shows. Yeah, they look all cutesy and stuff, but they were actually highly skilled warriors who were able to take out the stormtroopers with primitive weapons. You'd think we'd find out more about them.

I'm with Balemaster on this one. Though while I did really enjoy the original trilogy as a kid, I don't have any particular emotional connection to the franchise and am quite unaffected personally. I was always more of a Lego and Transformers kid - both of which have gone woke too. I still have my old Legos and Transformers to give to my kids, but won't be buying any new ones...

I finished watching season 3 of The Mandalorian this week (don't worry, it was ethically pirated) and I actually enjoyed it for the most part.
But I also started playing Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords and even though I never played that game before it actually 'felt' more like Star Wars than almost anything Disney has released.
