Dauðaró - Cinematic Funeral Doom

I stumbled upon this one-man funeral doom project on a Christian metal FB page some time ago and have been really enjoying this since.  While not a "Christian band" per se, the main guy is a Christian and the lyrics allegedly come from that worldview.  (I say "allegedly" because the lyrics are all in Icelandic and not available to read anywhere.  I've chatted some with him over FB and he's a cool dude, giving me some insight into the lyrics.)  The music at its core is funeral doom, though it can also be quite cinematic and epic: ebbing into extended orchestral-sections and utilizing a very broad variety of instruments.

I suggest following them on Bandcamp.  He's very liberal with free download codes (not that any of the albums are priced high at all to start with...).  This is probably my favorite of theirs:

Gotta check this out. It’s not a frequent genre for me, but sometimes some funeral doom hits the spot.
