New Helix song

The Canadian band Helix is working on a new album that they hope to release in 2023.  They debuted a new song called "Not My Circus" back in February.

I like the song, but it doesn't have the power of earlier releases to me.  I hope the rest of the record is more exciting than this.

Is it just me, or vocally could Brian Vollmer and John Schlitt be brothers?

Song is ok, but only ok. He and Schlitt have some similarities for sure.

With the exception of about 4 of their albums in the 80's they have always been kind of hit-or-miss for me.  Heck even those popular albums "No Rest For The Wicked", "Long Way to Heaven" etc. seem to have a least a few "skip" tracks on them.

This track feels a little more like a "miss" to me.

Absolutely, they should have been headlining arena's in the U.S. and Canada by 1985 (or at least opening for Bon Jovi or something).  I never understood why they didn't rise to the popularity of like Ratt or Great White in the mid to late 80's
