Prayers For Vladimir Putin

Certainly, we should be praying for the people of Ukraine. But even more, for Vladimir Putin. I pray that the Holy Spirit will open his eyes to the reality of the dark forces that are manipulating him.

Further, let us understand the psychological implications of this prayerful intent; No one likes being manipulated against their will, on that, most of us would agree. The problem with an atheist, is that they are literally blind to the existence of a spiritual realm. And that there are evil entities hell bent on the destruction of mankind. This makes people such as Vladimir Putin, who holds the largest nuclear arsenal on the planet, extremely dangerous. Not for the fate of the Church, our fate is secure, but for the multitude of unbelievers that yet need to be saved. So, if Putin's eyes were open to the fact that he is being manipulated by forces against his will, he most likely would resent it and would cause him to rethink the outcome of his decisions, or more importantly, his very fate.

We, as believers, are called to pray. Even if we think that our prayers are somehow futile. Prayer is the most powerful tool we have. And when certain prayers are implied in a concerted effort, they become way more powerful. So again, let us pray together, that Vladimir Putin's spiritual eyes would be opened to the dark forces that are manipulating him.
