EXTOL-Synergy 2022 reissue

Extol's Synergy was recently reissued on Bombworks Records and is available at Boone's Overstock. I always disliked the thin low end of the original, so much it made full enjoyment of the album really difficult for me. To my ears the remastering on this reissue corrects that shortcoming beautifully, and really stands out as an instance where even a relatively modern recording can sometimes use help and receive it at the right hands. Low end now has thunder and warmth without overpowering the thrashy guitar tones.
The price point is a bit uncomfortable at a "sale price" of $18.99, but I have no idea what the overhead is to license a title and recover it across 1000 units, etc., so...

I like this album OK but it doesn't have memorable riffs IMHO.
I'd pay that much for a release from Holy Sceptre, Weeping Prophet, Embryo Chrysalis, Consecrator, Immortal, Devastation, Betrayal, Jesus Freaks, Catscan ... in other words "real thrash" bands.

Holy cow, off topic perhaps, but I've just recently and very randomly become aware of these guys (the guys more than the music). I don't know that I've ever seen their name anywhere else before.

Oh nice, I might have to grab this reissue. This album is my favorite from Extol.

When they first came out, I thought their live show was cool. A lot of old school “windmill” hair going on! Lol
