New Scorpions track “Peacemaker”

I really like this. It sounds like classic Scorpions. It’s got a great, but too short, solo. I’ll definitely be checking this album out when it drops in February. 

Oh wow, super cool!  I'm hope the rest of the new album rocks on this level. I agree, seemed like the solo was a little too short.

If the rest of this album has this level of energy, this will be a great release!  I haven't been excited about a Scorpions release in a long time, but I am now excited for this one!

I like it, he sounds good vocally.

This is really good. 

I'm happy to see them record a new album with Mickey Dee. I recall that they had hinted at possible retirement, but when Mickey joined I wanted them to record at least one more album with him.

BTW, I saw the Scorpions live in Kiev Ukraine 2 years ago, with Mickey. It was an awesome show.

Yes, the song sounds really fresh and "rocky". You would probably not guess that they are over 70.
I like it very much. I am really glad that there are still some of the older bands active. So it is possible for a bit younger listeners to see them live. I wish I could also see Jimi Hendrix...though I would also like to see the scorpions (or others like Maiden) in the 80ies. However, since this is not possible and never was for me, I am happy to see some of them now....

Every so often I try to imagine my Dad being in a rock band when I see guys like this. Makes me laugh but they sound good and they seem to be having fun.

That reminds me of the Def Leppard concert that featured Taylor Swift. The OG's treated her like she was their daughter. Plenty of YouTubes of it.

I'm surprised by the punky flourishes, the guitar tones are so gorgeously retro that I may shed a tear. I think my favorite part other than the chorus is the part right before the second verse.

This definitely feels simultaneously very familiar and yet full of fresh energy. The video is right up my alley, too.

Well, I saw Udo Dirkschneider on video a few months ago...her really reminded me of my grand-dad and I imagened him rocking this way...strange thoughts, well he never was a Rocker in contrast to Udo. However he could sing operas - not bad I think...Anyway, as i wrote, I am glad that some of the "old" musicians are still active - and that we also have some famous bands in Germany where me and my band are from.
I also like the music video peacemaker, feels somehow modern - and somehow retro - just as the music. I hope the album will be as good.

I believe 2/22 or something like that.

I got the downloads of the extended version last night.  It is a great album from the Scorps!

I bought the regular cd version… it’s really good… I didn’t like the extended version tracks so I got the regular version.

Really?  I thought those songs were stronger than a couple of the tracks that made the main album.  I could have lived without the acoustic version of one of the songs as an extra track, though.

You know Alldat…I didn’t care for the acoustic version song either, but I’ll have to listen again to the other extended version tracks. Nevertheless, I paid $12.00 for the regular cd and didn’t feel the extra 4 or 5 tracks warranted the $23-$25 price tag. I wanted the cd for my scorpions collection…I guess I could always buy the digital extended version songs if after listening to them I decide I like them. Enjoy it though! It’s a real nice release by them.

No let down on this album, they came in strong.

I keep coming back to this album.  It feels like it should have come out earlier in their catalog.  This would have been a great follow-up to their heyday albums like:

Blackout
Love At First Sting
Savage Amusement
Crazy World

Had this new one come out right after Crazy World, I believe it would be another fan favorite.  It is worlds better than their Eye II Eye album that came out in 1999.

I agree. They really tapped into that 80s sound and it works well. The song Seventh Son has a kind of The Zoo vibe but not a rip off.
