Angelic Forces "Arise"
Read about this band on Angelic Warlord and I really like what I have heard. I will probably be getting their Ep and the new release when it comes out.
from https://www.angelicforcesband.com/en/home/
Angelic Forces is a Heavy metal band from the Netherlands that’s strongly influenced by 80’s metal, but with their own special sound.
Angelic Forces was formed in 2015 by bass player Wilco van der Meij (Methusalem). The group’s lineup was completet with drummer Rudie Kingma, singer Harold de Vries (former Methusalem) and guitarist Maurice Gijsman (former L.S.D.). The new group began to contemplate a name for the band. The band quickly decided on the moniker ‘Angelic Forces’ because it was a good fit for the style of music the band wanted to play.
On June 2016, Angelic Forces recorded their first single and that same month, after its first release, the single received positive reactions worldwide.
In 2018 they released their selftittled three track debut EP. The EP, recorded at the Soundlodge studio in Germany, received some great reviews and has worldwide attention from online magazines, radioshows and podcasts ‘till this day on.
In the past years Angelic Forces managed the create a steady fan base and played with well-known metal acts like: Leviticus, War of Ages, Picture, Tygers of Pan Tang and Witchcross. But also on festivals that include major acts like: Cradle of Filth, Cannibale Corpse, Pestilence and King Diamond.
Angelic Forces knows how to convince the audience with straight forward Heavy metal, powerful songs, heavy sound and their energetic live performance!
Make sure you get a taste of the pure Heavy metal of Angelic Forces!
The sound of true Metal!
Angelic Forces is
Harold de Vries – vocals/guitar
Maurice Gijsman – Guitar
Wilco van der Meij – Bass
Rudie Kingma – Drums

I think the E.P. is excellent. I got the band a radio interview but they do not seem to be doing enough promotion or exposure through fanzines, websites, etc.. If they could just get their name out there, I know that people will take to their sound.
P.S, this was a prior thread for them:

Re: Angelic Forces "Arise"
I'm glad they're back. They need more exposure though, few people know about them.
Re: Angelic Forces "Arise"
Unfortunately, it's December. But it does sound great. Some say it's a bit like Stryper, and I tend to agree.

Re: Angelic Forces "Arise"
But are they considered to be a Christian band? There name is blatantly Christian. The song titles appear to be Christian. I see their lyrical is generally positive and classified as about 'Life in General'. There music has been compared to a mix of Stryper and Riot. I've been to their website but don't see any stand for Christ or mention of Christianity. Time to give their new album a first spin.

Re: Angelic Forces "Arise"
I've been scrolling for a while on the fb page of the singer, and the only thing coming close to christianity (from a worldly perspective) was a fantastic metal edit of a Kenneth Copeland speech. Also lots of anti tyranny stuff about covid which isn't all too common for Dutchies in the public eye, although he is from the north and those people tend to be a tad contrarian.
But yeah, nothing explicitly christian.

Re: Angelic Forces "Arise"
Why not listen to the interview that Wildman & Steve did with them recently? They posted it on this board not too long ago. I'm sure the band were asked about their faith in sufficient manner to satisfy any questions.

I am loving this album! My only complaint is that it needs 2-3 more songs.

Great interview that leaves off all the speculation.Constantine wrote:Why not listen to the interview that Wildman & Steve did with them recently? They posted it on this board not too long ago. I'm sure the band were asked about their faith in sufficient manner to satisfy any questions.
Re: Angelic Forces "Arise"
I dont get the questioning at all. Look at the lyrics to Mission to Hell, Religion is a Lie, Fear No Evil, Repent or Die...on so on. They might not say Jesus Christ but, to me its not even up for interpretation....
