What god told me about CMR

It is said sitewide,  that you are primarily a MUSIC forum. To keep theology out. But hwhere else should we discuss these things?  This is not right and lukewarm. My artist name I go by is Skar for Christ. But upon signing up for the wite,  god told me to abbreviate it to "SfC". It's because he ia telling me that you are not the "Christian Metal Forum" he's saying you guys are just "CMR". Might as well be the KVR forum. Nothing special. I'm sorry

Regardless, the theology section was re-opened quite some time ago and nobody's discouraging discussions of that nature.  If you're referring to the rules Karam posted, it's a reminder that this is a Christian metal forum and that is the focus.  (Just like a Christian theology forum would focus on theology and someone coming just to discuss Christian music or Muslim theology wouldn't be appreciated.)

Also, you're obviously unaware of the reasons why Karam wrote that.  It'll suffice to say that we had a few folks who, maybe like you, only wanted to shove their own theologies down others' throats and that caused a lot of issues.

You're welcome here SfC, but your prideful and arrogant entry has you walking on thin ice.  This is your warning.  Be respectful, take some time to get to know the folks and culture here, and then after a while you see ways in which this place can be improved, kindly let us know.

And it's "God." Capital G. To differentiate from the posers and pretenders mentioned in Psalm 82.

I have encountered a lot of charlatans in my life that loved attention and used Christ to control people.  You know how they do it?  They act very spiritual and constantly say things that begin with, "The Lord told me...."

Whether or not you really heard from God, I won't judge.  But, when I hear that phrase from someone who just showed up, my eyes rolled out loud and my BS detector started screaming.

I also think you have been here before.

I always want to reply with "I heard from the Lord and he told me you are wrong, and for you to quit listening to demons, repent and get saved."  
That usually makes for an interesting conversation.

Even better----you get a few people to respond to someone like this with the same thing so that it seems like the Lord is speaking to a large body of people.  

This goal of this forum seems to be straight forward: people who get together and talk about Christian oriented hard rock and metal and in a few cases, rock, other styles and mainstream music. The majority of members are from some sort of a Christian faith, despite doctronical differences and are practicing. The common thread among all of us: We love God and  hard rock and heavy metal music and any music that the electric guitar stands out in the piece of music.

A pastor I know, who is also a cognitive therapist, once said :

"If you told me that God talked to you one night, I'll believe you. If you tell me that he speaks to you everyday, here's a prescription for some medication."

I'm sure the OP's little-g god told him outright lies about our awesome environment here.

Whenever someone says “God told me,” hand them a Bible and ask them to show you.

I seem to recall a former member here who regularly claimed God told him things.  I seem to remember taking the initiative of opening the can of schizophrenic worms "Are you sure its God telling you this?" when they said something akin of God telling them to get pizza or something.  

Their response was to say they didn't have schizophrenia....   anymore...

The user Thomas is talking about changed his username once or twice on here before he left.  While much more theologically charismatic than I am/most of us are, he's a good guy who I believe very genuinely loves God.
