I Love long intros as well as long middles  Razz but I LOVE instrumental metal anyway.  I can really get lost, in a good way, in some of these long intros and when the vocals kick in it almost surprises me.   Very Happy

That being said, for a while now I've thought it would be cool if there was a way you could put something like book marks into a song. A way that you could fast forward to certain parts. So as an example you would have something like: intro, first verse, chorus, solo, etc. Some movie formats allow this.

I always loved how Delivernace addressed the intro in their "What A Joke" album:

I actually like that one! It’s funny and not long.

I also like the “intro” part before Hateworld on Pillars of Humanity by The Crucified. That is actually my favorite intro of all time!

What about long outros? Specifically referring to Tourniquet's "The Skeezix Dilemma Part II (The Improbable Testimony of the Pipsisewah)".  I know it was meant to mirror the album's opening intro but I am weary of it.

My laptop came with audio editing software. I started out cutting off intros (introes?) I'd heard too many times, such as One Bad Pig's cover of "Man In Black" ("Hello, I'm Johnny Cash"), Stryper "Against the Law", Deliverance "Awake", Sacred Warrior "Master's Command", Tourniquet "Viento Borrascoso", Whitecross "Nagasake" and many others.
I've also cut the END off Tourniquet "America", removed the outro to the aforrmentioned "Skeezix...2" and faded it out, shortened Bride "Heroes" (I think y'all know why).
Then I discovered I could remove almost all the talking from live albums, remove songs or rearrange the order (I got the Bloodgood live albums from 1990 on one cd under 80 minutes!).
Then I got ambitious and started editing songs, like Theocracy "Ghost Ship" no longer has the whoa-whoa-whoa bridge and One Bad Pig "Sunday School Rawk" has the mariachi section excised.
There's so many songs I've edited I can't keep track.
I've gotten so good at it I can't tell where I made the change.
If I can figure out how to upload videos to YouTube with proper credit given to the artist LEGALLY y'all could sample my modest accomplishments.

Thankfully I listen to thrash which knows better than to bore the listener with bland "epicness".
