Have to submit a 1099-X for a late-received form, information I have to report, but may not owe anything on. TurboTax informs me that the earliest I can get the ball rolling is March 25.

Lol! They are about as kind as Ramsey Bolton from Game of Thrones, who had his stepmother and new baby brother ripped apart by vicious dogs.

the IRS wants to help? doesn't this guy remember one of the greatest quotes from the Gipper (ironicallly coming from "the government")?

Well at least the employees there have gotten friendlier over the last few years. I've noticed that when I've had to call them or when I've had to deal with a particular issue. I certainly wouldn't trust them as an organization though.

All hail Biden The Merciful!
Anyways, I did my taxes immediately just to get it done with. I'm glad to have that behind me...

IRS: "We're so generous here. See? You all have an extra month to pay the same, maybe even more."

Re: IRS Extends Tax Filing Deadline
The tax deadline this year for filing 2021 taxes is going to be April 18, 2022.
Waiting for all of my 1099's and whatnot....

Re: IRS Extends Tax Filing Deadline
I thought the deadline in prior years was April 15th. Are they really calling 3 days an 'extension'?

Re: IRS Extends Tax Filing Deadline
Well last year they extended it until May....this year is just a token extension because there's some Federal holiday ("Emancipation Day") that falls on April 15.
LOL, we need "Emancipation Day" from taxation and from this WH, but that's another story....
