Anyone here into Q5?
Really enjoy Steel the Light and the newest one, New World Order. They always make me think of a Krokus type band washed in NWOBHM.

I didn't really give them a good listen in the 80's. I will give NWO a try though, and check out what else I might have missed.

Loved Steel The Light back in the day. Was a bit let down with "When The Mirror Cracks" but still found quite a bit to enjoy from it. I do like the new album even if the songwriting and Jonathan's voice aren't quite what they were back in the day.

I remember reading an interview with one of the band members who said something to the effect that the producer just kept "polishing" the songs until they turned into something that hardly resembled the demos.
The music ended up being quite a bit "softer" (for lack of a better word) than the first album, and the original disc had a very dull almost "muddy" sounding mix. I remember thinking that several of the songs were strong, but just not recorded properly.
After the band broke up Jonathan, Rick & Evan started a more "American Power Metal" band called Nightshade. I believe they have 3 albums out but they are hard to find in physical format (I have two MP3 albums I'm pretty sure I got from Amazon). Not bad stuff but you have to be careful because there is a Metalcore out there with pretty much the same name "NightShade".
This track is from their first album (which probably sounds more like Q5)....I think this is the one I don't have.
