Jetway, I remember Lary saying that CM will be rereleased on disc and vinyl.

I became a Trytan fan after hearing "Sylentiger" back in 1990 and have always wanted to hear more from this band.  I'll definitely be getting their new album on CD when it's released.

Been waiting a long time so this is good news.

My only pause with this is that it sounds like it is going to be different singers for each song, kind of like Liberty 'n Justice was.

I loved LNJ doing it, but usually I am not a fan of multi-guest singer projects.

I messaged the band to clarify on the multiple singers.  Dean is handling vocals on every song except for the worship track.  He has several guest vocalists on it.  The only one I know for sure is John Elefante.  But, the album will have the same singer on all other tracks.

So the guest vocalists are all there for the same song? That's good to know, thanks.

I know 3 are Elefante (as you mentioned), Rey Parra and Eric Gillette

Yes, the guest vocalists are for The Revelation Song.  All other tracks will have Dean singing and playing guitar.

Yes to re-issues, no to Gold disc. I can't justify the extra $$$ for something that is really only theorized to extend the life of a disc. At my age... don't need that

I hear you!  Besides, will we even be able to buy a CD player except at Goodwill in a few years?  Most new computers don't have a CD drive anymore.  New cars have stopped putting them in.  When those two industries turn on a particular technology, the death bells are ringing.

That's why when I order vinyl anymore I look for the automatic download feature.  It will be a sad day when the CD is gone for good.

If vinyl isn't gone completely neither will CDs.  CDs will become (and already are) a niche collector's market, just like vinyl.  Bands will issue limited run pressings and reissues for collectors, while most music is heard digitally.

Is Gillette only singing? He's a monster player also.

Dean is handling both guitar and vocals.

Gillette is handling the keys.

So when is this released?

It's a mystery to me.

So if Trytan is a take-off on Rush.  What are other bands that sound like them?  Triumph? Eh, sorta; from the same country anyway.  Are there any dead ringers out there as close as Celestial Messenger?

What other bands sound like Rush?

Trytan is hardly a Rush rip-off.  Although Lary sings like Geddy in Geddy's prime, Trytan is typically louder and more metallic than Rush.
