Red - Declaration
Anyone listened to the new Red album from last month? What do you think of it? Having listened to a couple of tracks it sounds quite good. I didn't really check out their previous album, Gone, but I really liked Of Beauty and Rage.

Re: Red - Declaration
This was my review on another site:
Red has delivered their heaviest album to date, while still retaining their signature sound and cinematic, orchestral style.
The whole album has a very in-your-face approach that hits the listener like a freight train. There's more screaming than usual from Michael Barnes, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it serves to heighten the visceral impact and emotionally cathartic effect of the songs.
Lyrics primarily are about the struggle to rise above the corruption and limitations of our human nature.
This is a fine album and will likely gain them some new fans while pleasing older ones.

Re: Red - Declaration
While I bought the first three or four albums, Red is a band that began to sound like they were making the same record over and over to me. I haven't bought anything new from them in years. If they are doing more screaming, I will probably stay away from this one, too.
