Re: Disney+
As a huge Marvel comics fanboy, I'm eagerly anticipating Wandavision, Moon Knight, Falcon and Winter Soldier, She-Hulk, Hawkeye, and the rest of the lot.

The paid subscription was highest at the beginning of The Mandalorian. Then most people cancelled their sub at the end of the season, then rejoined for season 2.

The old Disney movies from the 60s and 70s are fun to explore. Ours is bundle with Hulu and ESPN plus, and I love the ESPN 30 for 30 documentaries. Well worth it for me!

Indeed. I wonder how many knew the original versions of Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, and The Incredible Journey even existed. The old Mickey Mouse cartoons are fun too.

HAHA, yeah those are all classics! I also love the cheesy Don Knotts movies like the Apple Dumpling Gang. Good clean fun! HAHAeatbugs wrote:outofstep wrote:The old Disney movies from the 60s and 70s are fun to explore.

Just watched the first two WandaVision episodes and I want to know more of where they're going with this.

Ditto, WW. I'm thinking Agnes = AGatha HarknESS. Jimmy Woo from the Ant Man flicks belongs to the neighborhood watch group that Vision haunts. And Geraldine = Monica Rambeau. Plus the boss-man's demeanor at the dinner was so over-the-top, that you know something greater and more sinister is afoot.

Re: Disney+
All I've done with Disney+ is watch the movie "Willow" twice. (I like this George Lucas film considerably better than anything Star Wars)
My wife has watched other things, but even I don't think she's watched anything on it since Hocus Pocus on Halloween. LOL

Re: Disney+
I've had it since Day 1. I haven't watched a ton of stuff on it, but that is more due to me simply having have so many other movies/tv shows on disc and Vudu that I haven't even been able to watch yet (I buy waaaaay too much).
The Mandalorian series has been fantastic, I also love a lot of the behind the scenes Disney shows as well as the National Geographic specials.

So far it's been meh for me. I know it will get better (or I am hoping), but the nostalgic references aren't that great, or even that funny to me.
As for the service, I got it to watch the Mandolorian, which has been awesome. Beyond that, I've seen most of what I want to see on it. Waiting for the Marvel stuff to hit. I packaged it with Hulu, which I've used more than it.
Re: Disney+
How much more does it cost to bundle these two together? What I don't understand is why Disney just didn't use the Hulu platform and add all of their content to it. It would have made so much more sense in the long run.
Re: Disney+
I'm hoping it will be different than most series that start off great and fizzle out. This looks like it will be a slow build to something much better as the story develops.deathisgain wrote:WildWorld wrote:Just watched the first two WandaVision episodes and I want to know more of where they're going with this.

12 a month and you get ESPN2. I don't use ESPN. I was already looking at Hulu.

I disagree. I think they are better off separate.
This way they can keep the price down for people who only want Disney content, plus it makes the service more family friendly without all the rated R / horror /adult oriented content that Hulu has.

You probably already do without knowing it. Believe it or not, Disney now owns between 70-80 percent of all media in the USA whether it be movies, TV, radio, record labels, etc. They only keep from being busted up as a monopoly because they run each company separately.
