Prayer Request For Medical procedure

So....I will be going in to the hospital tomorrow morning for a procedure that will hopefully be minor, but complications are very possible.    It will be a urologic procedure which if I explained it, would not do it justice.  I'm not happy about this turn of events because I should not have needed this for another 4-5 months.   But, those are the cards I'm dealt.  

My main concerns are that:

A)  This will at least temporarily fix the problems I have been having lately 

B)  There will not be other things in there that are broken and need to be fixed

C)  It won't be TOO painful

D)  I will not have to wear a bag afterward.  That would be really awful, trust me, I've been there.


If anyone feels lead to pray, I would sure appreciate it. Thank you!

Lord, bless and keep Constantine in Your tender love and lovingkindness.  Thank You for all the occasions in which You've answered prayers before on his behalf, and for the comradery of the brethren to unite for him in this cause.  Grant the doctors wisdom, and we pray for a smooth procedure.  In Jesus's name, amen.

Thank you all so much.  I got back yesterday still doped up on painkillers and Atavan, and I ended up sleeping for most of the rest of the day and into the evening.  

Overall it went fairly well and - No bag!  YAY!!

I am still in a little pain but not too bad.  Unfortunately this is just temporary and I will need to have this procedure again.  My main future hope is that the scarring inside will not get worse than it is, because that would lead to more serious problems.  For now, we can take the small victories where they are given and be grateful for them.   Thanks again.

Unfortunately I am having the same issues again and need to go back for the same procedure that I had at the end of April. In fact, if you look at the original post for this thread, the situation, stakes, and prayer requests are EXACTLY the same.

It concerns me that I'm having these problems again only 5 months after the last procedure. But here we are. I'm in pain right now and the procedure is scheduled for this Friday at 9:00 a.m.

Trying to take my mind off of dwelling on it but this and other things have been depressing me lately. For one, I'm still dealing with residual issues from my last major surgery, something that was supposed to have healed 6 months to a year later. Instead, we are close to 3 years out and still not fully recovered.

Not sure what God is doing in all this but I'm having a rough time of it lately.

Update:

Thank you for your prayers.  I didn't update over the weekend because some issues remain unresolved and I wasn't feeling so postive about how it went this time.  After the procedure, I am still having some of the same issues, just not as severe.  Also, he used a different instrument on me this time and it was painful...!   Wasn't expecting that, that was an unwelcome surprise.    Afterward, we scheduled another minor surgery to be done in January (for this one I get put under) and then we talked about another major surgery that he recommends, but I would rather not have to go through that if I can help it because the recovery would not be fun at all.  Anyway, I have some big decisions here and some unresolved issues so that is why I had not updated the post until now.

I certainly appreciate the prayers though.  Not out of the woods yet but hoping for better things as we go along.   I still want to say like David in Psalm 27 that "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."
Right now I feel stuck in another verse where he says "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

Hi all, back again!   Same surgical procedure as last time, tomorrow morning (Thursday) at 8:30am.

I have to be there 2 hours early which for a non-morning person like me, is not fun 

Please pray:

1)  That it goes well with no complications

2)  That I can get some decent sleep tonight

3)  That I will wake up from the anesthesia (anesthesia is always a bit of a risk, although I have been put out many times before).

I'll be a minor wreck after and will probably sleep most of the day, so will update as soon as I can.

Update as of Feb. 11:

1)  It did have some complications  

2)  I got no sleep before the procedure, but that's o.k. 

3)  I did wake up from the anesthesia 

So...got 1 out of 3, yay.  Sort of.

Would appreciate some prayer for the complications that are an issue right now.  Thanks.
