Any "Good" Podcasts out there?
I've really enjoyed a lot of the "As the Story Grows" podcasts over the years, especially the original ones with Travis. I also enjoyed the Mark Soloman podcasts that he used to do. Are there any other similar ones that you like? To be clear, I am mostly interested in podcasts like the above that focus on interviews with band members (both existing and defunct metal bands). Not really into much hard core and punk, so I tend to skip those from the aforementioned podcasts. Also, I tried the "Roxxcast" podcasts but it seems mostly like they play songs from classic/power metal bands . I'm more interested in hearing interviews, old touring and studio stories, especially from some of my favorite bands from back in the day. I really enjoyed the most recent "As the Story Grows" podcast from Tedd Cookerly (EDL), as I was a closeted fan of them and that style of rap-rock back in the mid-late 90s (POD, EDL, Pax217, XL and DBD, PID, etc.). I'd love to hear more interviews and stories from members of bands like Tourniquet Deliverance, Vengeance Rising, Mortification, Believer, Extol, Living Sacrifice, The Crucified, Betrayal, as well as some of my favorite more current bands like Phineas, Death Therapy, Becoming the Archetype, Relent, GFR, etc.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Check out the old Frontline Rewind podcast. They don't do it anymore and sometimes just played music but there were also a ton of interview episodes. Very good podcast but I think the well ran dry when they went thru the catalog they called it quits. It's where I first heard CMC's. I am no fan of rap but I loved the song I heard on the podcast "Everyday Death Sentence".

I was a listener of the Mark Salomon podcast, but he abruptly just stopped a year or so ago. Anyone know why?

I’ve been listening to Monty Colvin’s podcast for several years. He doesn’t really hold back on his opinions and some sensitive people might get offended.

He had the NASCAR job before the podcast. That means he was doing the podcast in his free time. Maybe it just became too much trouble to continue...
Still would’ve been nice if he had did a farewell episode.

Thanks MikeInFla, will check that out!
TZ7, thank you, I'll check out Monty's podcast. I'm a big Galactic Cowboys fan. I was first exposed to them when they opened up for King's X in Houston in 1991 and I've been a fan ever since. I've been fortunate enough to see them and King's X several more times over the years, even got to see GC in 2009 play a reunion show.

I'm not sure if Frontline still has them on the website or not, but I used to listen to them thru Apple Podcasts. They might still be there or somewhere else, just search for Frontline Rewind.

I found them on https://frontlinerecords.us/audio
Listening to the first one. So far so good, just have to fast-forward through the Bloodgood songs, 90s alternative, old rock, and power metal type songs. Nothing personal against Bloodgood or Les, his singing and speaking voice just trigger me for some reason.

Wigeon, you're not a fan of Bloodgood? They're one of my favorite bands.

I've been listening to Discography Discussions lately.
Great Metal Podcast that discusses a band's full discography. They cover both Christian and Secular.
As far as genres; they seem to cover the spectrum when it comes to Metal.
Highly Recommended, but not for people that are sensitive to language (you have been warned).

Not a fan. Never could get into them. Saw them live back in 91 or 92. Just couldn't get into the Les's overly dramatic vocal style and stage presence.

Also, Talk Is Jericho. He has a lot of bands on his podcast. Yeah there are wrestlers on the show but mostly it's bands. Michael Sweet has been on there more than once.
Also enjoy Mitch LaFon's podcast.

Urban Achiever is not really going much anymore either, but it came out around the same time as Mark Salomon's podcast. By Billy Power of Blenderhead/Tooth & Nail. You might check out some old episodes. He mostly interviewed bands you wouldn't care about, but he did do Crucified, Living Sacrifice, etc.

I haven't listened to it and I think they mostly talk about whatever they want, but Disciple has a podcast called The Rebel Society.
