War of Ages "Void"

These guys have taken some tremendous steps upward over the last few years! 

War of Ages used to be standard, generic metalcore. Their material was always well done but never rose above the pack for me. The last few albums (Supreme Chaos & Alpha), thanks to the addition of Jack Daniels from Hope For The Dying, have gotten more complex and fleshed out their talent and the melodic aspects of the band. Void is the culmination of this progression. With Eli Mullins, the mastermind behind The Burial and vocalist/guitar player for Fleshkiller, and Caleb Luebchow, an absolute beast behind the kit for The Burial, now in the band they have become one of the most talented bands in the modern scene. The songwriting is complex, melodic but catchy all at the same time. I'm really happy with this album. It's their best yet.

I could definitely understand if fans of the old style miss it but for me they are definitely on the instant buy list now!

After a couple listens it doesn't grab me as much as Alpha or Supreme Chaos

Its a really solid album and I love a few of the songs, it'll just have to grow on me some more

I'm loving this. War of Ages have really stepped thing ups lately.

I like the cover art a lot.  Their music always seemed a little generic to me, but I bought the LP just for the cover art alone.  Haven't listened to it yet, though.
