Fit For A King - Dark Skies

Anyone else around here pick up this album?

After a few spins, it is definitely their most unique sounding album yet, I enjoy all of the songs and its stacking up to be on of my favorite of this year

These tracks are my favorites:

Committed to reading the lyrics before I buy their stuff. Loved tracks like Slave to Nothing and Forever Unbroken but the last album I didn't buy because they didn't have much to say that impacted me. This album sounded amazing musically but I haven't heard anything lyrically good yet.

How do you feel about the message of the album?

How do you feel about the message of the album?

Well lyrically I don't enjoy it as much as their first 3 albums (Descendants, Creation Destruction and Slave To Nothing)

Its definitely a darker tone like Deathgrip, but its more about personal struggles than about things going on in the world

I have to say the most "Christian" song would be Oblivion, the last song I posted

Its about a man crying out for forgiveness to God, it is one of my favorites they have ever written but the rest of the album is for sure less faith oriented
