Growing up a 90s thrash kid but not able to research like nowadays I missed a lot of great secular stuff that had Christian overtones like this one and Viking Man of straw. I was sad to find the lead singer lost his teenage son back in 2015

Neal Morse - Overture No. 4
I consider this the best of his overtures/intros/etc. Unless you count the one Transatlantic's the Whirlwind, but that was a collaborative thing.

I dont mind s/t at all just a new era of Metallica. Got a question for ya. Do you feel the same about Megadeth post Rust In Piece? I like their mid tempo stuff (Countdown, Youthinasia and even Risk) but just cant get into Metallica's stuff.11razorwire wrote:There is a clear drop off in the awesomeness of those 1st four albums, but I still really like the s/t album.mothy wrote:Metallica - Death Magnet

Honestly, my favorite era of Megadeth is the Countdown, Youthanasia and Cryptic one! While I do love their first 4 albums, there's something about those mid-tempo albums that's just addicting to me. Now, the 2 after that (Risk and TWNAH) were so so. But then, everything from TSHF is right back to amazing for me. Like you, I wanted to like the entire Metallica catalog, but gave up. I can kinda sorta get into the Loads here and there, but nothing after it.
