Anyone enjoy Flatfoot 56?

When i'm in the mood these guys scratch that Oi itch. Favorite album is Blackthorn but I enjoy all their stuff. Anyone else?

Haven't picked up their newest effort but my favorites are definitely Knuckles Up and Black Thorn

The new album is more acoustic, mostly remakes but I enjoy it.

Love these guys. Since they are a Chicago band, I've seen their live show a couple times, which is a lot of fun.

That would be fun. Now that I live in outer Slobenia I never see shows.

Good timing!  I just picked up Knuckles Up and Jungle... at a thrift store this week.  So far I agree on the "itch."  I don't know if I'll listen regularly but I will when the mood strikes.

My guess is that it's regional based on the faith-demographic of the area.  Eastern Michigan stores have a good amount of CCM but rock/metal is rare.  I got lucky with Flatfoot 56 (and Haste the Day).  Western Michigan is more conservative and people have better luck over there.

Not a thrift store but I was once at the FYE in Indianapolis and could have bankrupted our family on all of the used Christian metal CDs there.

Love'em! One of my favorites. Been listening to 6'10" (Tobin's more folk/Americana side project) a lot recently with my boys and then playing Flatfoot on the side.

Favorites are Toil and Odd Boat. I "remastered" Toil though to give it more bass. It was pretty thin compared to Black Thorn, which had great production. I really liked that Odd Boat had a more live, more prominent guitar sound. It added some of the harder material. That album is produced just about perfect.

I like Flatfoot 56. My favorite album is Black Thorn.
Their version of "I fly away" was one of the favorite songs of my little son. He was requesting and singing it (at least the chorus - difficult enough for a german speaking child) very frequently last year when he was 4 years old. And he still loves it.
