Thunderbolt was great...but it had to take a little time to speed up for me. I loved it. I think Battering Ram was a hard album to follow up though.

Hard to rank Thunderbolt yet but i'd say Call to Arms is my fave of the last three.

Saxon has had a great run for a while now.

It's pretty good, but I'd say Building the Towers is better overall. It's more consistent. Different singer on A Manifesto for Domination, I believe. I think they were still forming their sound. It's still solid though!

I totally understand. Japan tends to have some weird music. I'm partial to it, for the sole reason that I like watching anime. So I'm pretty attuned to the weirdness.
