Believer appears to announce a new album

I find this hard to believe.

I admittedly don't follow them closely, but didn't they already announce a series of EPs a few months ago? I would guess that this is the next one of those, especially with the "2 of 5" tally marks being included on the artwork.

Its the second part of the 5, 2 song EP's they are releasing throughout the year

Ah, ok. That makes sense.

I don't mean to be "that guy" but haven't they shifted away from the Christian lyrics and beliefs?  I haven't followed them closely but it seems like I remember hearing that.  Just curious.

I don't think they've really addressed what they're current beliefs are, but yes they have most certainly shifted all lyrical direction to other topics.  I wouldn't call them an evangelical band, just a badass one with smart and interesting themes.

Just listened to the 2 new songs. I like this ep more than the first one. Hopefully when all 5 are released, the resulting ep will find all the songs making more sense in context with each other than they do apart. Gonna revisit 1 of 5 again now, haven't given that as listen since it was released

What seems strange to me is that although each member is a Christian, they deflect or down play any questions about their faith.  That seems a little off to me, but I still notice that at least some level of Christian perspective remains in their lyrics even if the Biblical lyrics are a thing of the past.  

I'd love to sit down with them off camera and talk about things, though.

Yeah the new tunes aren't too bad. I love the first 3 albums. I still listen to them all of the time. Believer is one of my favorite bands of all time. 

I think most of their long-time fans have been let down by their recent releases. It sounds to me like they lost inspiration or something. A lot of the riffs are so generic. But every song has a great riff or two. The songs are just so inconsistent. They are all over the place when it comes to genre and tone.

I wasn't wild about Transhuman when it came out. I thought (and still think) it's pretty boring. These new songs are okay I guess, but don't really grab me. I don't mind when bands want to do different things, but I kind of wish Believer would just give us an old tyme thrash album. Just one more. Then go ahead and do whatever.

While the new songs are definitely different, I find them interesting. I'm curious to see where this goes.

There is a reference to praying and God in the song "The Perfect Day", so that gave me some hope that they still take faith seriously.
