Weight loss and fitness thread
So whats everyone doing to try and lose weight/get fit? Share hints, tips and progress!
I was 5 stone overweight, I lost 2 stone but have put some back on the last couple of weeks- I injured my knee so can't exercise much which has lead me to sitting around which means I snack more which makes me more down and just say 'sod it' and carry on eating unhealthily.
ANyone got any tips on how to stick at it?

I hit 40 a year and a half ago, and between that and quitting smoking 7.5 months ago, I've noticed some dimpley padding in places I've not had it before.

Re: Weight loss and fitness thread
I am diabetic and have high cholesterol so I need to be on a better diet. When I was diagnosed back in maybe 2013 I started out doing pretty good on a low-carb, and low cholesterol diet. However I "fell off the wagon" a few years ago and haven't really been eating very well.
Earlier this week I took my blood sugar reading for the first time in a good while (stopped reading it because I ran out of strips and couldn't afford to buy more). Well I tested and my blood sugar was 306, so I have been trying to start limiting my carbs again and I have it back down to normal levels.
A co-worker of mine also was recently diagnosed and he has been raving about this Ketogenic diet that's working wonders for him. Hes been trying to get me to try it but I'm still on the fence about it until I ask my doctor. Apparently keto is where you cut out carbs almost entirely and eat a high fat diet. Supposedly if you have no carbs your body uses fat for fuel.
Sounds a little crazy but I will let my doctor decide what he thinks.
