Stryper take high road after Faster Pussycat’s insults

Stryper are leading by example by turning the other cheek and choosing not to engage in trading verbal salvos with Glam band Faster Pussycat after some of the sleaze veteran group’s members dished out with what has to be deemed unprovoked insults towards Stryper..

I heard about that, I guess they (Stryper) are friends or are cool with the one original member left but the members taking shots at them were all but this one dude

There's GOT to be more to the story than what's said though.  I'm very curious what sparked those comments.

Yeah, I'm not so sure I'd call it the "high road" to plaster it all over social media so your fans can take the shots for you.

Actually I think it was Eddie Trunk who got the story rolling in the media...

FP used the word "condescending".  That's so broad that could mean anything.

I knew a guy that used to be in the Christian metal scene that hated Cradle of Filth ever since the drummer "snubbed" him.  I don't know the details but I'm guessing he tried to make a conversation with the guy and he was too busy or didn't want to talk or something...

Like, that happened YEARS ago and that drummer is long gone, but the resentment toward that band is still there.

here is what stryper said on their facebook page to fp sorta apology....

" I give them props for taking ownership of what they said. We've never had a problem with FP until the blatant disrespect started rearing it's ugly head. We love people and especially fellow musicians. We've always been respectful to our peers but at the same time if you disrespect us, we're gonna set the record straight. Being Christian doesn't mean that you're a doormat.

Technically, it was Sleaze Roxx that called it the "high road", not the band, right? If you look at how these wars between bands have been happening recently, there is a huge difference in Sweet's response when compared to how most bands react.

I don´t know if it is a language issue or what, but I didn´t understand what it was about. This band I´ve never heard telling Stryper sucks. Well.. the Stryper handled this "attack" very classy.

The High road would have been to simply say something like " well, they are entitled to their opinion " and leave it alone. Michael still got in some jabs towards the over all perceived success of Fm though.

...but over all.....I would say its a good idea to not help spread this kind of stuff around.

Always hate it when two bands I really like get into it, but, this ain't the first time and won't be the last.

What Thomas said, exactly.  All in fun and directed at universally understood realities, not at all specific posters.

I remember Michael getting into it with Nikki Sixx...an event started by Michael...not to mention the tiffs he has had with members of this forum..
