Random thoughts...

In approximately 36 hours I will be Florida bound. That's right MikeInFla, I'm comin' and I'm bringin' about 40 more Texans with me.  

I survived a week of church camp with the children from my church!  Yay, me!  I am sleeping in my own bed tonight!!!!

Never was the phrase "taxation is theft" more appropriate than in case of dog tax. The same nonsense in both the Netherlands and Germany. The government doesn't even bother to give a decent explanation for it.

I am getting back into community theater again.  This is my character for the show "Ameri'kin Idull" that opens tomorrow night.  I am Justin "Dangerous" Wilkerson--a lady's man!

Wow the Metal Archives sure is a dark place...  So much hatred, negativity, and generally anti-Christian sentiments.

Secular metal forums can really be hit or miss when it comes to that. Depends on how many members for instance; a big forum will get you a truckload of people who just call you a backward moron and think they made an intelligent remark. Smaller band forums can be better, back in the day I was the top commenter in the Hammerfall forum and there were some (cultural) christians among the other members, only one militant atheist.

Last night my wife made pasta with BLACK* noodles.  It was pretty metal.  Naturally, I couldn't eat it without making at least one silly "metal" face hahahaha.




*Blackened by squid ink apparently.

Hahahaha thanks!  The pasta looks more green in the picture than it actually was.  It was pretty dang black.

I can see that! I've never had any foods with squid ink in them, but I saw a "React" video on YouTube where kids tried "Squid Ink Pizza". Comedy ensued when they got it on their fingers and tried to wipe it off on something.

There was a terrorist attack today in Barcelona.  Veronika and I were at exactly the location it occurred and it was always a bit scary because to us it seemed like it was only a matter of time before terrorists would attack there.  It's this long and narrow area absolutely packed with people in a city that epitomizes western culture.  We should be praying...

I watched my first rugby match this weekend. Interesting sport.

I [finally] got a new computer at work and it is sooooooooooo much quicker!  However, it's got Windows 10 on it.  I am used to Windows 7.  So far it's not as bad as I thought it'd be.  Though does anyone have any recommendations on tweaks to 10 to improve it?

I finished up the show with the local community theater last weekend.  It has been fun experience to get back on the stage like that after a 14 year absence.

While I can't video the show, I was able to record the silly song I did called "Please Don't Make Me Watch A Chick Flick".  If you'd like to hear it, there is a thread in the main music room.

I can't function properly today. Yesterday I learned my wife is pregnant with twins, today I got the highest praise of a German law professor, which he also mailed to my Dutch professor.
Can't... handle... that... much... praise and happiness

Having a crick in one's neck is a horrible experience.  I am now finishing day 2 of this!

Also, how long before I can drop the title of "Holy Unblack Knight"?  At what level of posts does one move into a new category, or can we suggest our own?  Or, can we just do without the custom titles?  I am just asking.
