What are some good nu-metal Christian bands?
I'm a big fan of Korn, Tool, Deftones, early Slipknot - the usual suspects of nu-metal, but don't many Christian nu-metal bands. Outside of Love & Death and Red (who are far more on the pop side of things than metal to me), what else is there out there?

Some may not consider these Nu Metal, but when I think of more mainstream styles of hard rock/ metal these are the one that I think of as "good."

Forgot about Pillar, yep, that would work.
Also I should mention 12 Stones

Also, recent Living Sacrifice though they aren't usually referred to as nu-metal.
And someone recently started a thread on Flawed by Design who from what I know are probably about as close as you'll get to what you're looking for, outside of Love and Death. https://thecmr.forumotion.com/t7006-flawed-by-design

You won't find anything Christian that's close in sound or quality to the bands you like, but:
P.O.D.
Thousand Foot Krutch (earlier stuff less poppy)
and of course, Brian 'Head' Welch from Korn.
Nonpoint also started out Christian on their first album (I think) but aren't after that. And they're maybe more groove metal.
You should also try Embodyment's Narrow Scope of Things album which has nu-metal elements but is so much more -- and a phenomenal album all around.

Re: What are some good nu-metal Christian bands?
Actually, some of this new Project 86 still has the vibe too.

Re: What are some good nu-metal Christian bands?
Man most of this stuff isn't nu-metal at all...
Yeah early P.O.D. for sure. I love the Fundamental Elements of Southtown. They're newer stuff sucks. They've gone way too mainstream (as has Korn). Project 86's first album maybe...it's kind of more rapcore.
East West would be another. There are some other more underground bands that were good, but I'll need to try to remember them. I haven't listened to a lot of Christian bands lately tbh...

P.O.D is the big one, I love them. Demon Hunter's first album is pretty Slipknoty imo.thisundyingfire wrote:I'm a big fan of Korn, Tool, Deftones, early Slipknot - the usual suspects of nu-metal, but don't many Christian nu-metal bands.
