can I borrow some ears?

That link right there is a MIDI format demo of a piece I'm working on, which means it's gonna sound like nintendo music.....but I've found it to be very helpful to tab things out and generate a MIDI file, let's me "hear" parts that might be outside of my true skill level, and add a bassline when I'm not exactly a bass player. There is a rough sounding bass fill I'm already aware of, and something happened during conversion to mp3 format, compression, and uploading that soured a few notes on the outtro. It's intended to be kinda progressive blackmetal-ish, primary influences being Abbath/Demonaz (I and Demonaz' solo disc, moreso than Immortal) ICS Vortex (Borknagar, solo, and many other acts) and Obsidian C (Keep of Kalessin)....so, the final full instrument recorded product (if it ever materializes, LOL!) may not be to everyone's taste.....but I'd appreciate some ears on it.

Listening now! Sounds cool. Definitely be sure to post your stuff when you record with full instruments, as it's a bit difficult to imagine just what that'll sound like. But I dig the structure and your influences!

Sounds like the best Nintendo music I've ever heard (though I honestly have never played on a Nintendo)!
But seriously, it sounds pretty good. I also thought I recognized a bit of that "I" sound before I even read that. I'm a big fan of your inspirations, though the vocals on Demonaz's album could be better.

I don't know If/when lyrics and vocal stuff will appear, because that end of it is NOT my forte....but i DO have a vague concept in mind
I've also got several other pieces I'm refining in the same way that I did what's up above....but IF things ever get to see the light of day, it's gonna be awhile. If I'm lucky, I can accomplish it before I hit 40 LOL!!!!!
