I know Luke can shout pretty good, but it's kind of hard for me to picture Vengeance without a rougher/growling vocal approach.

Maybe they'll just stay away from the death metal side of their sound?

This will be cool anyway!

I dunno.  As much as I love the music too, it's not Vengeance without those vocals.  I hope he does the songs justice and tries his best crazy growls instead of his normal vocals.  Then again, it would be interesting to hear VR songs with Tourniquet vocals.

Did Die Happy cover any VR live? If so that would be a precedent for a more melodic vocal style over these songs.

I’m having a hard time imagining Vengeance with Luke’s voice… but I’m definitely interested to find out! 

If this collaboration is successful, I wonder if some new music is on the horizon.

I can’t help but to remember how these guys ditched Scott Waters when they recorded the Once Dead album. 

Scott was very enthusiastic about doing it and he would have been better than the guy they chose to replace him.

The funny thing about this announcement is that Luke initially was looking to move away from the “heavy” music. But he has been in demand lately as a guest vocalist. 

I actually hope these shows influence Luke’s songwriting in some capacity.  🙂🤘🏻

STB and Vengeance are very good for Luke’s metal health. 

Yes, it’s a Quiet Riot reference. 🙂

I actually think Luke has a voice that would do justice to Quiet Riot songs.

I'm curious but, frankly, not hopeful.
I love Luke's clean vocal, but not so much the dirty.

It makes me think of the Intense Live Series. I love(d) the Deliverance record...
and I was STOKED for the Tourniquet record, couldn't wait to here Guy live in the
studio (he is my GOAT), so when I got the record and heard Les Carlsen
vocalizing it ruined the whole thing for me.

Make no mistake, I love Bloodgood and Les Carlsen, they go together perfectly.
I just don't think he fits w/Tourniquet. That's also my first impression of Luke
fronting Vengeance. All that said I would happily be wrong about that.

Despite Roger’s fall from grace… his voice is very attached to the sound of Vengeance. 

I can’t think of anyone else that sounds like he did. I know he isn’t considered very good, but some might say the same about Lemmy.

I don't know what everyone has against his vocals. I think they are awesome, and I agree that they are part of the Vengeance sound. I know Pethead will take offence...but I've got thick skin...

I'm fairly torn (no flesh) on Roger's vocals. He could sound absolutely over the top ridiculous at times, but also sound really menacing when he wanted to. Especially when he was doing death growls.
