I can't think of any doing that hair metal throwback sound which is kinda odd since it's made a resurgence.

Maybe check out the band Electrik, who put out a few demos back in the late 80s.  Production was good for demos, and I actually enjoyed the music quite a bit.

It’s not new (2012), and it’s not explicitly Christian for the most part, however “Feel the Power” by Blessed By A Broken Heart is very much in this style. I think Crazy Lixx is awesome. BBABH were much in the same way on this album, which is in my top 5 metal albums ever.
