Pretty much stuck to pop. Or classic rock bands doing pop.

I like well-crafted songs.  As far as pure song-writing, that one is great.
So is Expose "Point of No Return," it's just more salacious lyrically   
But both are very catchy.

This song baffled me for ages.  I could never make out the chorus.  Several decades later I found the song listed on a 'best of the 80's' video.  "Caribbean Queen?" I never heard of the song.  Then I listened to it and I was like 'I've heard that song a 1000x in the 80's and that's what he was saying'?  If you're going to write a pop song, don't include Caribbean in the chorus...

I agree.  It's one of my favorite songs and I still can't make out what he's saying.  I thought it was "Caribou quick, when we're sharing something {sick? quick? wick?}, and our hearts will beat as one. No more love on the run."

But the last sentence always brought the chorus melody home so I didn't mind that I couldn't understand the rest.
