This sucks.
I really love the first 2 Iron Maiden releases and count the debut as one of my all-time favs.
RIP, Paul.
The first two Maiden albums are classics! Arguably the best from the NWOBHM era.
A beautiful combination of punk attitude and melodic metal.
Paul will be missed!

I like both the s/t and Killers better than Number of the Beast. Piece of Mind is where I start with the Dickinson era.
That said, NotB still has some great songs.
Paul Di’Anno was the right guy for the beginning of Maiden. His voice was great!

I like the first two, but I much prefer the Dickinson era. NotB, Powerslave, FotD, DoD, are amazing albums.TZ75 wrote:I like both the s/t and Killers better than Number of the Beast. Piece of Mind is where I start with the Dickinson era.

Same here!
Even though I love NOTB, it's actually my least favorite of their 80s output.

I like NotB better than the first 2, but less than the other 80s Dickinson albums. I think Powerslave and Seventh Son are their best.

I need to listen to SSoaSS, but I agree about Powerslave. 2 Minutes to Midnight has some of their strongest songwriting.Pethead wrote:I like NotB better than the first 2, but less than the other 80s Dickinson albums. I think Powerslave and Seventh Son are their best.

I love the Warriors movie.
They had a reunion not too long ago… (2015)
RIP David “Cochise” Harris.
