There's a few more albums getting ready to release this year, but I thought I'd go ahead and make this thread so we can talk about all the great music that's already been released this year. My favorite album is easily Motivik - Renouncement. A thrashterpiece Very Happy. My second favorite would probably be Stryper - When We Were Kings, another fantastic album by an older band.

If you’re talking about The Unorthodox Years, those are just demo recordings and they were mastered by Rob Colwell. I managed to clean them up worlds beyond what they were. But yeah, it’s raw!

I like The Unorthodox Years, but the current vocals are a lot better imo. I don't care for most crossover thrash except for The Crucified. Musically it's awesome, but I'm not surprised because Ryan did it Wink. I forgot to include the It Feeds EP by Brotality. I know they have a terrible name, but they are very talented musicians and songwriters.

Good to see the Motivik love. It’s a KILLER album. I quite like Death of the Gunman, but this one is even better.

Renouncement is easily AotY for me. There's been some great stuff released, but Renouncement is just on another level. Honestly, it might take POD's top spot as my fav christian thrash album in time. It's still too new to be there right now though. WWWK is probably number 2 for me right now. I'm really hopeful about Impelliteri though.
