Motivik - Death Of The Gunman VS. Renouncement

I know Renouncement doesn't officially release till tomorrow (July 1st) but I wanted to post this while I'm thinking about it. Just based on the singles they've released so far I think Renouncement will be better. But, I'm going to wait to vote till I give it a proper listen.

Answering this question is akin to deciding which brother I love more, so I will sit this one out.

That being said, both vinyls should be here soon!!

I got up and started playing Renouncement first thing in the morning and, it's amazing! I definitely think it's better than DOTG. Motivik may now be my favorite Christian thrash band.

I love them both. There isn’t a button for a tie.

Of course, your opinion on your own material counts as much as anyone else's! (Though I get from experience that praising your own work to explain why you like it more than something else can sound prideful when you don't want it to lol)

Haha I’m totally kidding. They aren’t my albums anymore. When you release music, you give it to everyone else to do with what they will. Glad you all like both of them!

So I'm curious, which band would you rather play live with (if you could only pick one), Motivik or Ritual Servant?

Love them both! Since I wrote all the Motivik stuff, I’m more prepared to do that first! Currently, I’m only playing in Motivik. Due to work and family, I’m just able to work on one thing right now.

I think DOTG is great, but Renouncement is a thrash masterpiece! Might be my favorite album of 2024.
