35 Years Ago Today Badlands Released Their Debut Album "Badlands."

What a great album. Vocals and guitar tearing it up.

I have a hard time with this band after what Ray did. Good music but it's tainted.

I prefer the 2nd album over the debut, but the debut is strong too.

I didn't even know about that until just a few years ago.  Really dastardly thing to do, but kind of horrible to let it ruin the work of the other band members.  I've heard that is the reason the label won't reissue any of the albums.

I'm the opposite.  Thought the first album was phenomenal, but had a hard time getting into the second album.

Same here.

Mainly because “The Last Time” is my favorite Badlands song.

Chaisson's other albums he played bass on like Red Sea and Die Happy are good too. I'd like to get the 2 or 3 Badlands albums to compliment the Die Happy and Red Sea Chiasson collection but they are expensive.
