Re: Recently Watched Movies
Anyway, I watched the Iron Man movies a few years ago and I've finally decided to watch the rest of phase 1 Marvel movies. Last week I finished The Incredible Hulk, Thor is next.

I enjoyed it despite the critics and low rating

I was expecting it to be pretty crappy because of the current state of Pixar, but I was actually very pleasantly surprised! It’s much better than a lot of the crap Pixar has been throwing up lately.

One of my favorites as a kid, but I hadn’t seen it in years. It’s still a blast. (My wife refuses to watch it with me, though).

Picks up where the previous movie left off then takes a bizarre turn into a twisted musical love story of sorts

Re: Recently Watched Movies
No classic, but worth a watch if you like nature gone amok films. Plus, William Shatner is the lead. The final half hour is pretty effective.

First movie that sent me to my parent's bedroom floor for the night!

Pretty creepy, although I might give the edge to Ju-On: The Curse (2000) as being a bit scarier. (That being said, there is an extremely disturbing scene in Ju-On: The Curse that makes it hard to recommend. This scene is not in Ju-On: The Grudge).

Looking at the parents guide, are you referring to the scene with the fetus?Pethead wrote:Ju-On: The Grudge (2002)

Yes. What you see is not all that graphic, but the implication is enough.StevenCressler wrote:Looking at the parents guide, are you referring to the scene with the fetus?Pethead wrote:Ju-On: The Grudge (2002)

I still don't have it above The Visitor or Duet, bc the real emotional gut punch episodes are my favorite type, but part 2 did make it to #3. Excellent episode, and part 1 is great too. Episodes like this are part of what makes DS9 stand out so much in the franchise.Pethead wrote:Probably my favorite DS9 episode(s).StevenCressler wrote:It's not technically a movie, but wtv, it's one and a half-hours and great... Re: Recently Watched Movies
If you got into the Warner saga back in the day and "the greatest show on turf," its a real emotional ride. Surprisingly lacking in the aspect of the role of Kurt's faith in his journey, but it is there, but I was expecting more. They did a great job in portraying his journey as a quarterback with talent to an all-star quarterback and having him climb the ropes through Division II to arena football (which he mocked at first as a "circus"). You don't have to be a Rams fan to enjoy Kurt's rise to fame and glory to get caught up in emotional experience of it all.

I’ve seen this movie dozens of times, but I can never resist it if it’s on one of my streaming services. Perfect blend of horror and comedy. (9.5/10, for Superjuice).

Now I'm watching Guardians of the Galaxy.
Got lots of free time on my hand in the evening since my wife's pregnant with our fifth. Maybe I should read books again...
